Friendly, welcoming and really accommodating
Bury Manor Barn offers a blank canvas into which you can inject your own decor, set up and style. The staff go out of their way to offer help with their preferred suppliers, caterers and hire companies and provide clear guidance on what you can and cannot do within the grounds of this wonderful location. The additional service of a wedding co-ordinator on the day is marvellous.

K and I couldn’t be happier that we decided to see “one more venue,” before deciding where to get married! From the very beginning you have all been fantastic, from the first viewing right through to leaving on the wedding night! It was such a beautiful day, the weather helped, but the amount of people that kept saying to us, this is the most beautiful venue I’ve been too!
Gemma/Sarah we cannot thank you enough for all your help on the Friday setting up, and during the day! You exceeded our expectations and I genuinely don’t think we could have done the day without you! Gemma, you did a great job keeping me calm in the morning – the nerves were definitely building, and just dealing with 100+ guests and keeping everything moving!
We cannot thank you all enough – when we get the official photos through and go through some of the ones the guests have taken, we will send them on!
Hopefully K and I will only get married once, but if we got married again we’d be coming back!

It was worth every penny!!
Our wedding at bury manor was absolutely phenomenal!! The grounds we stunning, and all of our guests said what a beautiful setting we had. We got married outside in the amphitheatre. And had the beautiful south downs as our backdrop to our vows. The staff were so helpful! From the moment we booked right through until the end of the day. With supplier lists and check lists to Google meet calls and behind the scene pictures on the day.

Thank you BMB for making our dreams come true!
We got married here on 5th August and it was PERFECT! From the initial look around with Julie and the in depth chats with Gemma throughout our engagement, we were put at ease, made to feel very looked after and made the whole process great fun and stress free. The venue is stunning and we have had so many compliments about it. Gemma provided so much support and insight about the decorations and she made the place look incredible. On the day we had all weather – sun, rain and thunderstorms…BMBs layout meant that the ceremony and tables could all be set up without having to usher guests outside which became really valuable to us with the forecast. The band could set up whilst we were having food so again no awkward ‘get out whilst we take the tables down’ etc. The grounds are stunning with lots of space for beautiful photos. Honestly so glad we picked BMB, such fond memories and amazing price for the amount of space you have – competitive with other venues around the area that were much smaller and only had one room for ceremony/food/dancing combined. Thank you BMB for making our dreams come true!

The BMB team really care about their couples!
We got married at St John’s church & had our reception at Bury Manor Barn in July 2023. We could not have been happier with our choice! From the first tour with Julie, we were blown away with the amazing views and the beautiful barn itself. It was clear throughout the process that the BMB team really care about their couples and it is not your typical venue that hosts copy and paste weddings. There is a lot of flexibility to make the day your own (DIY style + dry hire).
We were very pleased with the recommended suppliers list provided by BMB which made organising the day a lot easier for us, from hiring of all items, to the catering & bar teams – they all told us they loved working at the venue and love the huge kitchen there! The BMB team worked with all suppliers for us in the lead up to make sure everything went smoothly and they also offer additional coordination services if needed.
We hugely appreciated being able to set the barn up the day before (this was a life saver!) and made the wedding morning much more relaxed.
Thank you so much BMB! Our guests had an amazing time & we would highly recommend the venue, even on a drizzy British ‘summer’ day! ❤️

Hidden gem situated in the South Downs
We got married at Bury Manor Barn in June 2023 and cannot recommend it enough, it’s the perfect wedding venue. It’s a hidden gem situated in the South Downs. The two beautiful barns are bright and airy; the grounds overlook the River Arun and the scenery is just stunning. Julie, Gemma and their team are excellent, such a pleasure to work with, always there to lend a helping hand and give advice. Our wedding day was better than we ever could have imagined – it was just perfect! We cannot thank them enough 🥹💖

The best wedding venue!
What can we say, Bury Manor Barn is the best wedding venue with professional, friendly and helpful staff! We had the best experience leading up to the wedding, we went to multiple showcases which really helped us to imagine our own wedding and get ideas. The recommendations for suppliers were absolutely spot on and made the day so special. We got married in the church and they were so friendly and welcoming. We had the most amazing day and we were just so lucky with the weather, the sun shone and many guests said it was like they were abroad for a day! It made it even better that our dog Bertie could come for part of it! The grounds are picturesque and there are so many photo opportunities. Finally, the staff at Bury Manor Barn are amazing, they made the planning much easier up until the final day. On the day Gemma was absolutely brilliant and can’t fault her. All in all, thank you Bury Manor Barn for making our day that extra special.

The whole atmosphere was just amazing!
The venue is absolutely stunning. The lady that organised it was just amazing. The food was delicious, waiters/waitresses were very attentive. Our photographer was just the best, I would most definitely use her again. The whole atmosphere was just amazing. Thank you all so much for making my daughters day so very special. Everyone in the wedding party just kept saying how peaceful it was to sit in the grounds.

Could not recommend this venue more. From the outset Julie was so helpful and on the actual day itself Sarah and Lucy went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly so we didn’t really have to think about anything! The space is absolutely stunning with beautiful views over the South Downs, the two barns are ideal for the wedding breakfast and party afterwards – seamlessly moving across from one to the other. Everyone was so complementary about how well organised the day was, and that was definitely down to the BMB team’s expertise and their brilliant recommended suppliers. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Completely epic from start to finish!
We had the most incredible day, it was completely epic from start to finish! So many of our guests have said it’s the best wedding they’ve been to, so thank you so much for your part in that. We had a beautiful wedding day at Bury Manor Barn at the end of April 2023. We married in St John’s church next door and were so lucky to just walk round the corner into reception drinks and music which really just added to the ambience (even more so as the sun was shining.)
The view from the lawns are stunning overlooking the river Arun, which provides a stunning backdrop for a wedding and photos and really felt special as we love the area and the South Downs. We got to have some beautiful photos in the evening as the sun was going down.
Our families and friends also all said it was a beautiful venue and so perfect for us.
We were able to individualise our wedding day and certainly put our own stamp on things, which was something we were really looking for in a wedding venue. We were even allowed to bring a tandem bicycle in and lots of signs and individual things to us for our wedding day. Going round Bury Manor Barn felt less like a wedding conveyor belt than other venues we looked round when starting our planning which was great. We were allowed to visit when we felt we needed to and were able to set up the evening before which allowed us to add in some personal touches and also feel more excited about our big day.
Julie, Gemma and the team were very flexible and so easy to contact, open and honest throughout our planning. It was never stressful working with them! They had some great contacts and links with suppliers include Jane from Forge Flowers (gorgeous flowers) and Eat the Street Caterers/ place settings for all the tablescaping and trestle table dreams!
It was great there were two separate rooms to celebrate in – and enough to fit 130+ in, and a big enough dance floor for a silly choreographed first dance and the rest!
We are very appreciative of all the help and tips along the way – this really helped us have such an amazing day with all our friends and family.

Absolutely stunning venue!
Not only is Bury Manor Barn an absolutely stunning venue but Julie, Gemma and team running weddings are the most likeable, reasonable and professional individuals! Our wedding here in April 2023 was absolutely perfect, we knew after visiting many venues that this was absolutely the one for us, the combination of spectacular views, beautiful grounds and a large spacious barn divided into 2 met all of our requirements for the day. Unlike many other venues we had the flexibility to come in the day before for set-up which was lovely for us as we wanted a very hands-on wedding as well as come back at a leisurely pace the next day for picking up items.
The team here are just outstanding, Julie’s responsiveness and her succinct communication style is commendable, even replying to me on Easter Monday to a few quick questions. Gemma was absolutely perfect on the day (well worth paying the extra for a venue coordinator!), she had an eye over everything to make sure it went smoothly and even in the morning acted as a go-between between myself and my partner to share little snippets of how the other one was doing which was a really sweet touch. For anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a team that’s accommodating, flexible and genuinely dedicated to giving you the most perfect day, look no further.

This wedding venue is a hidden gem,
The barn and grounds are beautiful and the views stunning. We had a wonderful wedding day, and really appreciated that we could DIY as much as we wanted, as we could access the venue the evening before and morning after. The team are really helpful, having someone from Bury on site all day is really nice, and we appreciated how they coordinated the timings for suppliers to ensure the set up and day went smoothly.

The best day ever!
From start to finish our experience with Bury Manor Barn was fantastic. Every person we dealt with was professional, organised and just what we needed to plan the best day ever. We fell in love with the venue!
We could not recommend Julie, the team and Bury Manor Barn any more highly. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it and on a beautiful sunny day in October we were certainly not disappointed! A large number of our guests commented on the stunning views of the South Downs with the idyllic river Arun in the foreground. The barn itself was everything we wanted in a venue, providing a lovely backdrop for our ceremony and wedding breakfast, whilst also facilitating a wonderful party in the evening!

I am so glad we picked Bury Manor Barn. The view alone is perfect, let alone the beautiful manor backdrop and the barn itself. Julie and her team are wonderfully helpful and reassuring on every detail. They are so generous with the space, and it felt like everything we asked was always a yes. The on the day coordinator ran everything flawlessly. On the day we consistently had guests comment how gorgeous the venue and setting was, and half of our friends are now considering moving to Bury or Amberley! I’m so glad we picked Bury Manor Barn, the best decision!

This was the perfect venue for us!
From the moment we visited Bury Manor Barn we knew that this was the perfect venue for us. We has always wanted to get married outside in a beautiful landscape and this ticked all our boxes. The flexibility on how we could use the space enabled us to design our day just how we wanted it and we had a truly perfect day. The elements that made everything even more special were our wonderful suppliers who were either recommended to us by the team or we found through their supplier roadshow. Throughout the planning and the day Gemma was a constant support and having her there coordinating everything made it even more perfect.

Best Wedding Ever!
From the first time we visited Bury Manor Barn and met Julie, we knew this was the place for us.
We had initially been reticent about going with a dry hire, but Julie made the whole process really simple. The list of suggested suppliers was really helpful and we were able to find the right people for us.
One key element for us was being able to live stream our wedding, and Julie worked closely with our Live Streamer Moritz Schmittat to make sure the technical side was taken care of.
On the day Gemma and Sarah were on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly and we had a fabulous day.
We would highly recommend Bury Manor Barn. Not only is it set in glorious surroundings, we felt totally confident in Julie and her team’s hands.
